The train follows the Fraser River through fertile farmland before entering the towering cliffs of the Fraser Canyon. Marvel at the landscapes around Hell’s Gate and watch the scenery shift as river canyons give way to semi-arid hillsides along the Thompson River. Enjoy chef-prepared meals, spacious seating and panoramic windows as ever-changing scenery unfolds before you. Arriving in Kamloops early evening, you’ll transfer to your hotel for a relaxed overnight stay.

Rejoin the train for another spectacular day as you journey northeast toward the heart of the Rockies. Follow the North Thompson River past forested slopes, glacier lakes and wide river valleys, then climb through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains toward Yellowhead Pass. On clear days, look for Mount Robson—one of the highest and most dramatic peaks in the Canadian Rockies. By late afternoon you arrive in Jasper, where you’ll spend two nights surrounded by awe-inspiring mountain scenery. Over the next day, take time to explore Jasper National Park at your own pace: visit Maligne Canyon, cruise Maligne Lake, ride the Jasper SkyTram, or enjoy gentle lakeside walks while keeping an eye out for wildlife. Jasper’s peaceful, alpine atmosphere makes it the perfect location to unwind after your rail journey.
